STAMFORD - A suspect was arrested today after an early morning armed robbery at a Stamford convenience store.

Police say Tyreik Rhodes and another suspect held up the Downtown Mini Mart on Washington Boulevard. After police were called about two suspicious men, they were chased down Division Street, where one suspect escaped.

Rhodes tried to elude police by swimming across Mill River, where police were waiting for him on both sides.

Rhodes is being held on $150,000 bond.
