SHELTON - The Rockefeller Christmas Tree is heading from Connecticut to New York City to make its debut this holiday season.

Workers cut down a 76-foot Norwegian Spruce from a Shelton family's front yard that will be this year's Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

Crews used a crane to hoist the 12-ton tree onto a truck and take it 70 miles to New York City.

This is the second tree from Shelton to be chosen in six years.
