Ronald McIntyre charged in robbery of Henry C. Reid and Son Jewelers in New Canaan

NEW CANAAN - New Canaan police say they have arrested one of the men involved in a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store last year.

Police in New Jersey arrested Ronald McIntyre on Tuesday. They say he is one of four men that shattered the front window of Henry C. Reid and Son Jewelers on Elm Street last November and stole three Rolex watches.

Officers say they were able to use DNA from the scene to connect Ronald McIntyre to the robbery.

Police say McIntyre has a long criminal record sheet and will eventually be brought to Connecticut to be charged.

Police are working to find the three other suspects.
