WESTPORT - A woman is recovering after her runaway car crashed into a Westport business just after 6 a.m. this morning.

The driver says the gas pedal stuck on her Chevy Camaro and caused it to careen out of control into the Design Upholstery store on Riverside Avenue.

The woman suffered cuts to her face.

Fire officials say this building is condemned until repairs are made.

The store's owner says she's contacting her customers and hopes to start repairs Monday so she can reopen as soon as possible.
