Sacred Heart University wide receiver’s wild play garners more than 1.6 million hits on YouTube

Pioneers wide receiver Moses Webb caught a pass down the middle of the field during the second quarter of the game, but fumbled the ball while being tackled. Webb does not give up on the play, however, and manages to strip the ball back from the defender and run for a touchdown. (11/4/13)

FAIRFIELD - A Sacred Heart University sophomore garnered more than 1.6 million views on YouTube after a wild play during Saturday’s game against Monmouth University.

Pioneers wide receiver Moses Webb caught a pass down the middle of the field during the second quarter of the game, but fumbled the ball while being tackled. Webb does not give up on the play, however, and manages to strip the ball back from the defender and run for a touchdown.

Sacred Heart coach Mark Nofri says he's never seen a play like that in his more than 20 years of coaching.

A video of the highlight was featured today on YouTube’s main page. Webb says he’s amazed by its popularity, but it’s just business as usual for the wide receiver.

"They tell us never to give up on a play,” said Webb. “Play every play like it's our last.”
