Sandy Hook Elementary School 911 audio tapes to be released next week

NEWTOWN - A judge has agreed to the release of the 911 calls from the day of the Newtown school shooting.

A judge ruled this week the tapes will remain sealed until Dec. 4.

The delay is to give the state prosecutor a chance to appeal.

The decision comes after several news agencies filed freedom of information requests to examine the police response to the school shooting.
