HARTFORD - A task force created after the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting to discuss a victim's right to privacy is holding its first meeting today.

They are focused on balancing victim privacy under the Freedom of Information Commission with the public's right to know.

They will make recommendations to the General Assembly.

The panel has a Jan. 1 deadline.
