NEWTOWN - Students from Sandy Hook Elementary School returned to class today for the first time since gunman Adam Lanza killed 20 of their classmates last month.

The students will now be bused to the former Chalk Hill School in Monroe, which has been renamed Sandy Hook. Officers met with parents today to discuss security precautions in the area.

Meanwhile, Gov. Dannel Malloy announced today that the state has created a Sandy Hook Advisory Commission to focus on possible changes to gun laws, mental health services and school safety measures in Connecticut.

Malloy has given the commission until March 15 to come up with recommendations so the state Legislature can review them in this year's session.
