Police say Santiraj Chounlamountry set fire to a garbage bag in a third floor apartment after discovering his video game player was missing.

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police say they have made an arrest in connection with a house fire that forced several families out of their homes.

It happened on Stratford Avenue around 2:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police say Santiraj Chounlamountry, 31, set fire to a garbage bag in a third floor apartment after discovering his video game player was missing.

Officials say the building's sprinkler extinguished the fire, but residents were not immediately allowed to return because of smoke and water damage.
