NEW HAVEN - School and public health officials in southwestern Connecticut met Wednesday to discuss how they will handle the swine flu if it hits schools again in the fall.

According to health experts, there's a strong chance the swine flu will re-emerge in schools. Officials say they are now working to use lessons learned during the past flu season to prepare.

Topics covered during the meeting included why schools should remain open during an outbreak and a potential vaccine. Health officials also reiterated the importance of parents keeping their children home at all costs if they are sick.
