NORWALK - The heat and humidity were impossible to escape yesterday.

Many tried to cool down by heading to beaches along the southwestern Connecticut shoreline.

Several sought refuge at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. For some the breeze was enough, others were able to find relief from the 70 degree Sound.
