STAMFORD - Stamford police are still searching for the man who attacked a woman and left her for dead earlier this week.

Police say the man dragged his 37-year-old victim into an alleyway along Greenwich Avenue where he savagely beat her.

The victim managed to crawl out to the sidewalk after the attack, where she was discovered.

Police say they hope to get a better description of the attacker as the woman recovers. They're also reviewing area surveillance video.

Stamford police are urging anyone with information to call 203-977-4444.
