Searchers find body of missing runner in Ridgefield

RIDGEFIELD - Volunteer searchers found the body of a Ridgefield man today who disappeared after going for a run yesterday morning. Police say the body of 44-year-old David Riek was found in a wooded area not far from his home. Riek's 30-hour disappearance had sparked a massive search-and-rescue effort in the town. Investigators say that Riek's death does not appear to be suspicious at this time. A medical examiner has yet to determine the cause of death.A family spokesperson says Riek leaves behind a wife and three children.
