Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx calls for more rail funding on New Haven line

NEW HAVEN - The new secretary of transportation was in Connecticut today to meet with Gov. Dannel Malloy.

Anthony Foxx spoke about rail safety at a news conference at the New Haven Train Station.

Fox said there needs to be more investment in the New Haven line.

He also said that the federal government should contribute more.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal has said the state needs more money from the federal government after this spring's train derailment in Bridgeport.
