MILFORD - Connecticut's two senators met today with federal, state and local officials to discuss rebuilding after Sandy.
Homeowners attended a roundtable discussion at Milford City Hall Friday about plans to rebuild and help mitigate future storm damage. The discussion ranged from creating new surge protection models to adding barriers like dunes along the Sound.
"Part of our problem with Sandy was that it was hard to know what was coming, so a lot of the work that's being done is to better predict how bad these storms will be," says Sen. Chris Murphy.
Milford was one of the hardest hit communities in the state.
Resident Pamela Nelson says neighbors started the Silver Beach Association to help each other come up with ways to rebuild.
