SOUTH NORWALK - Commuters who rely on Metro-North's Danbury line to get around will be forced to take the bus until the end of the month. The recent storm caused some railroad tracks to wash out near the Bethel train station, trapping more than 20 locomotives and resulting in service suspensions at seven stops along the Danbury line. Commuters traveling to and from New York City say they faced delays as they waited for bus service.
"When the tracks are washed out, the tracks are washed out," says Jack Cuttler, of Redding. "I understand that, but it will be better when it's fixed."
Metro-North officials say they plan to have service on the Danbury line fully restored by March 21.
