HARTFORD - Lawmakers are working out some last-minute bills Tuesday during the final two days of the legislative session.
House Speaker Jim Amann says lawmakers will be discussing the ethics reform bill, which would take away the pension of corrupt officials. An amended version of the bill passed in the House, but the Senate voted to remove the amendment.
Lawmakers will also talk about a bill that would ban smoking in the state?s casinos.
All of the last-minute discussions are happening without the budget hanging overhead. Gov. Jodi Rell and Democratic leaders decided last week not to amend the budget that was passed last year.
Rell did ask that lawmakers not pass any bills in the final days that have a fiscal impact.
