Several Bridgeport buildings evacuated after earthquake

BRIDGEPORT - Several buildings were evacuated today in Bridgeport after tremors from a 5.8-magnitude earthquake centered in rural Virginia struck the city. Police in Bridgeport say at least four buildings were evacuated in the city's downtown area. People on the upper floors say they felt swaying, and some workers say they thought the shaking was caused by construction. Dozens of residents say they were shocked by the earthquake, but that they are relieved it caused only minimal damage.Quake rocks Washington area, felt in Connecticut
