MILFORD - Milford was under a tornado warning Friday but had no reports of severe damage as fire officials say there were only a few calls for flooding.

Police officers say they blocked off the area of a fallen power line on Oronogue Road. Although no tornado was reported, the storm caused nearly 500 household power outages according to the United Illuminating Company.

One resident on Harvest Lane says he was riding his bicycle when the storm hit and saw half-inch hail fell from the sky.
