MILFORD - Shoppers were back in stores today to exchange gifts and take advantage of post-Christmas sales.

Stores opened at 7 a.m. at the Connecticut Post Mall.

Retailers previously reported lackluster sales numbers, blaming the late Thanksgiving date this holiday season.

Online retailers are also offering discounts.
