Slim's Deli Market in Bridgeport accused of food stamp fraud

The state is suing a Bridgeport store owner over what they are calling a wide-ranging food stamp scam. Saaid Cherkaoui owns Slim's Deli Market.

BRIDGEPORT - The state is suing a Bridgeport store owner over what they are calling a wide-ranging food stamp scam.

Saaid Cherkaoui owns Slim's Deli Market.

The attorney general says Cherkaoui used food stamps to buy items for his store, and then resell them for a profit.

He faces more than $15,000 in fines.
