NORWALK - Snow is falling on southwestern Connecticut impacting the commute and causing some schools to close.

News 12 meteorologists say the snow will last until shortly after noon.

Most of southeastern Connecticut could see 3-7 inches of snow with the higher totals toward the west.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in Fairfield and New Haven counties through noon Friday.

After the snow stops, the sun is expected to come out and temperatures will approach 40.
