STAMFORD - The accumulation of wet heavy snow and ice caused some issues for snowplows in Stamford.

The Department of Operations had 60 trucks cleaning the roads but say the icy conditions made it difficult to finish the work on time.

Crews will be on call in case there are reports of black ice. The department says all streets have been prepped and salted.

More snow is expected this Sunday.
