In Norwalk, many secondary streets remained slick and slushy. Drivers said it forced them to endure a slow commute home on Friday.

The winter weather also meant a short day for students as many schools had early dismissal.

Plow drivers said they would be out cleaning snow throughout the night. They advised homeowners should park their vehicles in driveways so that the roads can be cleared faster.
