Soldier added to Fairfield War Memorial

FAIRFIELD - A ceremony was held in Fairfield this morning to honor a soldier who fought in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Lt. Col. Bill Tetreau, who is on leave from Afghanistan, has been added to the Fairfield War Memorial Honor Roll at Town Hall.

The monument has been used since 1945 to honor Fairfield natives who have fought overseas.

Tetreau, who is the brother of Fairfield's First Selectman, presented the town with an American flag that once flew above the military base in Kabul, Afghanistan.

He says he's humbled to be on the wall with so many other great men and women.
