NORWALK - After all the snow and bitter cold this winter, southwestern Connecticut residents are eager for the start of spring.

News 12 Connecticut visited the Ludlow Park in Norwalk, where many people said they are longing for warmer days.

At the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, crocuses have just started to bloom. The center's environmental educator, Nicole Daurio, says this winter was statistically not much colder, but the snow and ice kept a lot of people from visiting.
