A local organization is responding to the Ebola outbreak overseas by gathering boxes of medical aid to send to the region.

Stamford-based AmeriCares is sending over 2,000 pounds of emergency medical supplies to West Africa. Officials say the supplies will help the health workers.

The supplies include 20,000 pairs of gloves, surgical masks, and 60,000 surgical caps.
