STAMFORD - A Stamford business owner has been named by Connecticut Magazine as one of the top 40 outstanding people under the age of 40 in 2015.

Conor Horrigan is the owner of Half Full Brewery on Homestead Avenue. He is also in charge of quality control for the ingredients that are used in the thousands of barrels of beer he and his team produce.

Connecticut Magazine's 40 Under 40 list singles out those the editors deem to be the best of the state's rising young stars.

Horrigan, a former investment banker, calls himself a chief beer philosopher because he says his brand represents much more than just local craft beer.

"On the wall, it says our mission is to inspire passion, and we really believe in that," Horrigan said. "So having the recognition in the 40 Under 40 was just a great way to get a little bit of a spotlight on Half Full."

Horrigan has since been invited to speak at public events about following one's passions. He say that he hopes to inspire others to do what they love.
