STAMFORD - Two Stamford businesses are busy trying to recover today following a roof collapse yesterday.

Stamford firefighters say thanks to the holiday vacation, nobody was in a building when the roof gave way under the weight of snow. The roof caved yesterday afternoon at 76 Viaduct Road in Stamford.

Not only is the wall cracked and sagging, it's in danger of falling over.

The portion of the roof that fell in is only a small part of the thousand-foot area that collapsed up on top of the building.

Service Master, which specializes in disaster cleanups, and Lawn Doctor share the building. Both businesses are continuing to operate while a contractor evaluates the structure for repairs.
