STAMFORD - The Stamford day care center where a 2-month-old died last week has reportedly had its license suspended.

The Little Bears Beginning Center on Wardwell Street has been closed since the child died from an apparent head injury last Tuesday.

The Advocate newspaper reports the state pulled the center's permit until the police investigation is completed.

Reports say the center was cited in December for several safety violations.
