STAMFORD - Stamford Hospital says a man who had been reported as a drowning victim is still alive.

Police had said Naveed Rafique, 30, had drowned.

Stamford Hospital officials say he is in fact alive, but in critical condition. Police now say Rafique has no brain activity and they are awaiting a decision by the family.
