STAMFORD - Connecticut's television and film industry is celebrating this evening, after two big boosts that are expected to bring more jobs and productions to the Stamford area.

The latest announcement occurred yesterday when NBC Sports agreed to relocate from New York to Stamford to take advantage of tax breaks. Stamford is also home to the TBS sitcom, "Are We There Yet?" located at the Connecticut Film Center.

Some insiders are calling the media mecca in southwestern Connecticut "Hollywood East."

However, others are avoiding the term, because the area is not just limited to making movies. NBC Sports coming to StamfordNBC Sports reportedly eyeing Stamford office park
