BRIDGEPORT - Family and friends of a Stamford man are in mourning after he was killed by a bolt of lightning Saturday.
Romeo Briscoe, 29, was fishing on a jetty in Bridgeport's Seaside Park when a storm swept in quickly, police say. Three other men were hurt, but they are all recovering.
Briscoe's longtime girlfriend and older sister say he was a loving man who would do anything for his family and friends. They also say his favorite hobby was fishing.
Funeral arrangements have yet to be announced.
