STAMFORD - A Stamford man who has one arm is beating the odds by continuing to go rowing three times a week.

Louis Matherne says he lives by the motto, "If you really want to, you'll find a way." This has allowed Matherne to continue to go boating three times a week with the Norwalk River Rowing Association.

He says he has been rowing for two years, and considers himself a crew member for life.

Matherne says he soon hopes to take on his next challenge: cycling.
