Stamford Manor residents: Get rid of the bed bugs

Residents living in Stamford Manor say they are frustrated that the city?s housing authority has done nothing to get rid of a bed bug infestation

STAMFORD - Residents living in Stamford Manor say they are frustrated that the city?s housing authority has done nothing to get rid of a bed bug infestation in their building.

Residents say the bed bug situation at 26 Main St. is major and should have been taken care of when it started. Some believe the bed bugs got into the building when someone brought in bad furniture.

Residents claim they have been bitten by the bugs, and some say they have even had to get rid of infested furniture.

Residents say they have brought their complaints about the bed bugs to the Stamford Housing Authority, but they say their complaints are often ignored. There is no word on whether the housing authority will spray for the pests.
