STAMFORD - Stamford Mayor David Martin is heading to Washington to testify about the importance of maintaining Metro-North's infrastructure.

Mayor Martin is scheduled to testify before the U.S. Senate Thursday afternoon.

He will reportedly be asking for federal funding.

The Connecticut Public Transportation Commission held a public hearing in Stamford Tuesday to gather testimony from the public about their transportation needs.
