STAMFORD - A Stamford police officer remains in Norwalk Hospital's ICU after being critically injured chasing a suspect yesterday.

Officer Troy Strauser had three surgeries yesterday after falling about 20 feet onto a guardrail along I-95 in Norwalk.

Stamford police have had at least one officer present at Norwalk Hospital and will continue to keep officers stationed there until his condition improves.

The suspect Strauser was chasing when he fell was arraigned earlier today.
