STAMFORD - A Stamford police officer has been suspended for two months as a result of accusations of excessive force.

Officer Gregory Zach was accused of punching Brenda Mazariegos in the parking lot of the Palms Night Club last June during an "Alive at Five" concert.

Zach will also be on probation for 18 months after he returns to work. He will be restricted to working at the city's jail or on the front desk during the midnight shift during his probation.
