STAMFORD - Stamford police have invited burglary victims from across southwestern Connecticut today to identify their stolen items, which have been retrieved.

Police say in total, they have 690 pieces of evidence, including jewelry, laptops and photographs.

Linda Fitzpatrick, of Darien, says a keychain that her son gave her for Christmas was stolen two days later when someone broke into her house.

Police have arrested 26-year-old Trevor Travis, of Danbury, who they say stole all the items, from prescription medication to jewelry, and even a bullet.

Travis has been charged in connection with two burglaries in Stamford, but police say he may be connected with other cases.

All the burglary victims were asked to write down the evidence tag numbers on their property so that later they could retrieve it.
