STAMFORD - A Stamford woman says her two cats were attacked and left badly injured in her own home.

The woman spoke with News 12 Connecticut, but didn't want to show her face or say her name on camera.

Police say one of the cats has a broken jaw, a fractured hip and a bad eye injury. The other cat has minor injuries.

Sgt. Steve Perrotta says he has never seen anything like this case. He says the injuries were caused by blunt force trauma, but they are not sure if it was from a vehicle or something else.
