STAMFORD - A Stamford woman says her two cats were attacked and left badly injured in her own home on Oxford Court.

The woman spoke with News 12 Connecticut, but didn't want to show her face or say her name on camera.

Police say one of the cats has a broken jaw, a dislocated hip, and a bad eye injury. The other cat has minor injuries. The woman says there was a washcloth of blood left on her dresser after the attack.

Police are investigating whether there was forced entry into the home.

Sgt. Steve Perrotta says he has never seen anything like this case. He says the injuries were caused by blunt force trauma, but they are not sure if it was from a vehicle or something else.
