STAMFORD - Police in Stamford arrested a California man Thursday for allegedly making threats against Jewish people.
They say Yoon Shin showed up near West Hill High School, where hundreds of Jewish teens were gathered for an event called the Maccabi Games.
The suspect had allegedly stopped at the Riverdale Jewish Center in the Bronx earlier and behaved suspiciously, which is why police were on alert.
Police say they were watching for his car and when he was spotted they pulled him over near Temple Beth El, which they ordered to evacuate.
Authorities say the bomb squad was at the scene for more than two hours, but did not find a bomb inside the car they searched.
Shin, who has allegedly posted anti-Semitic comments online, has also traveled to synagogues throughout the country and asked to pray inside, according to police.
