STAMFORD - Stamford police say they seized more than $87,000 worth of drugs today and arrested two people who intended to sell it.

Investigators say they pulled over a driver this morning, which led them to the America's Best Value Inn on East Main Street. Police claim they found more than 200 grams of heroin and more than 4 ounces of marijuana there.

Police have Eudy Taveras and Ricardo Correa, both of Stamford, in custody. Both suspects face several drug charges. Police say Correa was already on parole and has a history of weapons charges.
