STAMFORD - (AP) - Stamford police have released the name of a woman found dead in the water off the city shoreline last week.

Authorities say 48-year-old Teresa Dawson Gauvin was the personfound Friday. Police say she had lived in Stamford since July andis originally from Ohio, and she had an undisclosed medicalcondition.

The chief medical examiner's office has ruled the death anaccidental drowning.

Witnesses told police they saw Gauvin swimming in the area hoursbefore she was found.
