BRIDGEPORT - Stamford police are investigating a series of thefts that took place during a conference at the Hilton Hotel on Oct. 23.

Police released surveillance photos of the two people whom they say made off with six purses.

Police say the pocketbooks were stolen from a conference room while the owners were attending religious services.

They say the suspects used the stolen credit cards in Norwalk later that day.

Stamford police ask anyone with information to call 203-977-4444.
