NORWALK - Stamford police are taking a stand against teens riding on dirt bikes around the city.

The crackdown comes after an accident Thursday near Hillcrest Avenue and Grove Street that injured a 15-year-old. Authorities say the teen was driving recklessly and eventually crashed into a mail truck. He now faces serious charges.

Authorities say rising temperatures are spurring the issue. They also add that since they cannot always stop the bikes, they will show up at drivers' homes to charge them for the proper infractions.
