TRUMBULL - A Stamford teen is facing charges after he allegedly threatened his school.

Police say 18-year-old James Patrick Ryan threatened Cooperative Educational Services after he was thrown out yesterday. They say he referenced the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in his threat.

Authorities arrested Ryan and searched his home in Stamford. They have not said whether they found weapons.

Ryan is charged with misdemeanor counts of threatening and breaching the peace. He was released from jail on $25,000 bond.
