STAMFORD - Stamford police say a 14-year-old girl is facing four assault and endangerment charges after deliberately throwing bleach in another girl's face at Westhill High School today.
Police say the two ninth-graders were arguing in the school's gym shortly after 7:30 a.m. when one tossed a water bottle filled with bleach in the other's face. The girl accused in the incident is now behind bars at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.
Students say the act was malicious, while parents complained that the school needs to have tighter security.
Four other girls nearby were hit with the bleach, three of whom were eventually taken to Stamford Hospital and released. One of the girls suffered serious eye injuries.
