STAMFORD - Stamford police say they are looking for a suspect who placed explosive devices in a woman's car last night.

The Stamford Police Department's bomb squad says it was called to the scene after a woman said she found bottles that were fizzing and smelled funny in her car at around 11:30 p.m.

Officials say the woman found what they describe as very dangerous acid bombs in soda bottles inside her car. They say the woman got out of her car before they exploded.

Police say the woman has provided them with information that leads them to believe she and the suspect had previously been involved in a relationship that turned sour. They have yet to release any information on the suspect.
