NORWALK - The Force is strong with devoted fans who lined up ahead of the Thursday premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
At the Bow Tie Cinemas Royale 6 in Norwalk, management came up with a dress code of sorts for eager viewers in order to ensure safety. Fans were still allowed to wear costumes, but were asked not to bring simulated weapons into the theater and to not wear capes, cloaks or other face coverings worn by many characters throughout the saga.
Early showings for the seventh episode of the franchise sold out well in advance.
The theater expects to show the movie for at least the next four weeks.
Experts predict the movie will set a box office record. It has already made more than $100 million in advanced ticket sales, alone.
